UNC Service

In my home department of Pharmacology, I serve as Vice-Chair of faculty development and as a member of our departmental DEI committee. Outside of this, I have served as the chair of the Division of Comparative Medicine advisory committee since 2014. In addition, I currently serve as a member of both the full professor Appointment, Promotion and Tenure and the Post-Tenure Review Committee for the School of Medicine. I am actively involved in graduate training through participation in multiple PhD programs and as PI of the grant that helps support UNC's highly successful IMSD program.

Candidate Statement

We grow as a university through the hiring and promotion of faculty. Independent, faculty-driven oversight of promotion and tenure is a critical part of our collective responsibility. I have been involved with this process multiple levels, personally as well as through service to my department and the School of Medicine. These experiences have given me valuable experience that would me be an effective member of this committee to promote diversity and excellence in our faculty.
