I have not previously served on a university-wide committee.
Candidate Statement
When I first started at UNC as a graduate student working in the University Archives, I found it easy to fall in with the Carolina way, to admire its leading faculty, administrators, and alumni who were so committed to teaching, research, and service, and so loyal to the institution. At twenty years in, I'm much more aware now of who went unrecognized or under-honored for their contributions. I'd like to serve on this committee to support a more expansive view of recognition and achievement.
