UNC Service

Since joining the faculty, I have served the larger campus in a variety of roles. I served as a representative to the Faculty Council from 2011-2104, on the Provost’s Committee on Inclusive Excellence & Diversity 2013-2015, Graduate School Advisory Board 2015-2018, and Chair of the 2019 University Diversity Awards Selection Committee through the UNC Office for Diversity and Inclusion.

Candidate Statement

I would be honored to represent the tenured School of Nursing faculty on Council. I currently serve as Chair of the PhD Executive Committee in the School of Nursing and hold an advisory role to our Office of Inclusive Excellence and LeVine Wellness Task Force. I have served the School of Nursing in the past as Director of the Biobehavioral Lab. I believe in connecting faculty and students from various fields and I am a Faculty Fellow in the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute and a member of the UNC Nutrition Obesity Research Center. I have been fortunate to participate in a variety of leadership training opportunities within and outside of UNC and I am currently a Thorp Faculty Engaged Scholar. I am invested in the work of equity, inclusion, diversity, and belonging.
