Candidate Statement

I have been at UNC for 32 years. The University has given a lot to me over the years and I would like to give back in any way I can. I have seen much growth and change over these years, and it is time to continue moving forward and enhance what we do well and recognize areas in which we need to improve. Two areas of interest and focus for me over the last 10 years has been Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Appointment, Promotion and Tenure work, both at the School of Medicine level and the University level. I think the DEI experiences and APT work will bring relevant and important experiences to the table at the Faculty Council. I appreciate your consideration for this important role for the University.
