UNC Service

I currently serve as Vice-Chair of the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health, which is the largest of 5 Divisions in the Adams School of Dentistry. Prior to this, I served as Chair of the Department of Endodontics. I have served on several school Committees including the Conflict of Interest Committee (which I currently chair), Horizontal Leadership Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, Full Professors Advisory Committee, and have chaired two Faculty Mentoring Committees. I also serve on the University's Chairs of COI Committee. During this academic year, I have replaced a member on the UNC Appointments, Promotions and Tenure Committee.

Candidate Statement

I have served as chair or vice-chair of large units at UNC and prior to that at the University of Maryland. I have also served on the APT Committee at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Connecticut Health Center before that. This academic year, I have served on the UNC APT Committee as a substitute for a member who was on leave. Collectively, my work at this and other peer institutions has given me a lot of experience in faculty promotions and career development, and allowed me to contribute to the professional growth and participate in the evaluation of many faculty members. I would appreciate your support for me to continue my service on the UNC APT Committee which I believe is one of the most important faculty committees on campus.
