I served on UNC's Community and Diversity Committee from 2015 to 2017 and was a member of the Carolina Women’s Center Advisory Board from 2017 to 2018.
As a professor of public administration and government, I have a profound respect for faculty governance that would translate to my role as a faculty council member. At my prior university, the University of Kansas, I chaired a small group that contributed to university-wide strategic planning, participated in a Chancellor's faculty advisory group and provided consulting and teaching to different administrative groups around effective policies, or "green tape". I am particularly interested in faculty work climate, as an extension of the engaged scholarship that I conduct as a faculty member at the School of Government.
