UNC Service

I arrived at UNC as a first-year medical student in 2001. The education and mentorship I received throughout my training and time on faculty here have been unprecedented. I have maintained a busy clinical practice and have served the school of medicine in a variety of educational and administrative roles including clerkship director, course director for the clinical skills course, and education committee member. I have supported our GME trainees as an associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency and hold an administrative role as Vice Chair for Clinical Services in the Department of Medicine.

Candidate Statement

I am humbled to run for a faculty council position to represent non-tenure track faculty in the School of Medicine. Being a faculty member at UNC School of Medicine has been an absolute privilege. The ability to serve patients from across our state and learners from all aspects of medical training has been a joy. Through my educational, clinical, and administrative roles, I have a good understanding of the culture of UNC and interact regularly with faculty from across departments. I am a collaborative leader who aims to support and see issues from many perspectives. With this background, I believe I will be a contributing member of the faculty council.
