Candidate Statement
We, as faculty and administrators at Carolina, are all bound to perform our academic, administrative and research activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity. Moreover, it is important that we all contribute to ensure this is the case.
My interest in the Faculty Grievance Committee stems for my aspiration that those instances where this standard has been brought into question be addressed in a fair, transparent and consistent manner.
While I understand that not all outcomes stemming from grievances/complaints may be satisfactory addressed for all parties involved, I would strive for all faculty our committee interacts with to unequivocally describe our interactions as empathetic, honest, and constructive.
