UNC Service

Over the past 17 years, I have served our beloved University in many different capacities. I have served as a committee member on administrative reviews of high profile UNC administrators, chaired University wide teaching awards, served as a mentor for the Colonel Robinson and Carolina Scholars program since 2013, served as a reviewer for Population Sciences grant proposals for UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center and SURF grant reviewer with the Office of Undergraduate research, along with many other departmental and University wide committees. I currently serve on the APT committee and I am running for a second term.

Candidate Statement

I have been a faculty member at UNC since 2004. During the past 17 years, I have been able to serve the University in many different capacities while building one of the most recognized Exercise Oncology Laboratories in the world. I have gained tremendous experience from the numerous committees I have served and most importantly from the collaborations I have been able to make with different Departments and colleagues on campus and around the world. These experiences along with my own experience serving as a committee member of the Appointments, Tenure, and Promotion since 2018, have given me the ability to understand the uniqueness and differences of each unit on campus and apply the guidelines for appointments, tenure, and promotion fairly.
