I currently serve on several committees including, Duke-UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies Executive Committee, Persian Studies Advisory Committee, and Asian Studies Student Outreach Committee. Throughout the years, UNC-Chapel Hill libraries have provided and continue to provide resources, training and much more for teaching and research. If elected, I would advocate for the advancement and expansion of all the resources needed for research and preserving excellence. I am very proud to be a part of UNC-Chapel Hill, and it would be a great privilege to serve as a member of the the Administrative Board of the Library.

Candidate Statement

It is an honor to be nominated to run for the Administrative Board of the Library representing faculty in Division of Social Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences, and if elected, to serve my esteemed colleagues and the university. I earned a PhD in Foreign Language Education from UT-Austin in 2010, and since then I have been a member of the teaching faculty in the Department of Asian Studies. I have also been a part-time teaching faculty in the Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at Duke University since 2017. Throughout the years, UNC-Chapel Hill libraries have provided and continue to provide resources, training and technology for teaching and research. If elected, I would advocate for the advancement and expansion of all the resources needed for research and preserving excellence at UNC-Chapel Hill.
