CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: Thomas Jefferson Award
January 14 - February 25
The Office of Faculty Governance, on behalf of the Honorary Degrees and Special Awards Committee, is now accepting nominations for the University’s 2025 Thomas Jefferson Award to be presented at a 2024-2025 Faculty Council meeting.
Established in 1961, this award is given annually to “that member of the academic community who through personal influence and performance of duty in teaching, writing, and scholarship has best exemplified the ideals and objectives of Thomas Jefferson,” whose complex legacy includes the values of democracy, public service, and the pursuit of knowledge.
