Chair of the Faculty Beth Moracco sent a message to the faculty today about the chancellor search. Click this link to view the email.
Dear Colleagues,
I hope you are managing to stay cool and are finding some respite and restoration during these summer months.
Though some University-related activities have slowed down, Carolina’s search for a new chancellor remains in full swing. Last week, Executive Dean Cristy Page, chair of the Chancellor Search Advisory Committee, sent an email to the campus community about the status of the search that included a link to an online survey. As a member of the search advisory committee and faculty member, I encourage you to take the new, one-item survey that asks you to share a question you recommend the search advisory committee ask each candidate.
Cristy’s message also announced that the committee is seeking recommendations for potential chancellor candidates, both internal and external to UNC-Chapel Hill. If you know of an outstanding leader for Carolina, please submit a nomination. It is critical that we get broad faculty input into all aspects of the search process. Please participate as you are willing and able.
You can access the survey, nomination form, leadership profile, and other items related to the search on the Chancellor Search website.
Thank you for your participation in this important process.
Warm regards,
Beth
