Dear Faculty Colleagues,

On behalf of the Honorary Degrees and Special Awards Committee, I invite your nominations for an important faculty honor: the 2022 Edward Kidder Graham Faculty Service Award.

The Edward Kidder Graham Award recognizes a current member of the Voting Faculty who has worked toward President Graham’s ambition “to make the campus co-extensive with the boundaries of the State,” in the context of the University’s modern mission to extend knowledge-based service worldwide. Full information about this award and how to nominate someone for it can be found on the Faculty Governance website.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, September 13, 2021.

I encourage you to take a few minutes to think of a colleague who is deserving of this kind of honor and to submit a nomination. If you have questions, please contact the Office of Faculty Governance at facgov@unc.edu.

I look forward to honoring the 2021 Graham awardee with you on this year’s University Day.

Sincerely,

Anita Brown-Graham
Chair of the Honorary Degrees and Special Awards Committee
Gladys Hall Coates Distinguished Professor of Public Law and Government
