The Educational Policy Committee brought forth a resolution to amend the guidelines on course syllabi before the Faculty Council at its December meeting. The resolution passed handily.
Resolution 2020-6. On Amending the Guidelines for Course Syllabi [PDF] requires that syllabi include information about Accessibility Resources and Service, Counseling and Psychological Services and Title IX resources to ensure that students are aware of these services and how to access them.
This initiative was spearheaded by a small group of students who discussed the need for this change with the Faculty Council las year, and then worked with the Educational Policy to help advocate for this amendment to course syllabi.
