I am delighted that Kevin Guskiewicz has been selected to serve as interim chancellor. I know Kevin well and am confident that he will be an excellent leader for the University. He certainly has the very best interests of our students, faculty and staff in mind. As Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, he has demonstrated a proven ability to work successfully across schools and departments. He also has a deep appreciation for the arts, humanities and social sciences. Kevin’s internationally-known, interdisciplinary research program in sports-related concussions, means that he also understands the importance of the biomedical research and clinical enterprises on campus. I have heard from many faculty who are pleased by this appointment. I look forward to working with Kevin in my capacity as chair of the faculty.
