The Faculty Council considered the following actions on February 24, 2017:
- Resolution 2017-3. On Authorizing the Titles “Teaching Assistant Professor” and “Teaching Associate Professor” for Fixed-Term Faculty recommends that the Board of Trustees add the titles “Teaching Assistant Professor” and “Teaching Associate Professor” for fixed-term faculty ranks. If approved by the Board of Trustees at their next meeting, the resolution would create a promotional track for fixed-term faculty that parallels the tracks available to clinical and research fixed-term faculty. The resolution also recommends retaining the titles “Lecturer” and “Senior Lecturer.” The resolution passed unanimously.
