UNC system president Tom Ross will come to the regular Faculty Council meeting this Friday, March 8, 2013 (3:00-5:00 pm, Stone Center) to discuss the recently adopted UNC system strategic plan. Additionally, Faculty Council will consider resolutions to implement campuswide the recommendations of the 2012 Independent Study Task Force and to support creation of a safer environment on campus for victims of sexual violence. Annual reports from the Buildings and Grounds Committee, the Copyright Committee, the Administrative Board of the Library, and the Scholarships and Student Aid committee will be discussed, and a the ad-hoc faculty “Athletics Reform Group” will present a statement.
