Dear Faculty Colleagues:
With the attention that has recently been focused on the management of athletics at Carolina and the announcement last week of the hiring of a new Athletics Director, the Faculty Council leadership, Faculty Athletics Committee members, and I have arranged an event on November 2nd to provide faculty an opportunity to learn more the roles of the Athletics Director and the Faculty Athletics Representative here.
I invite you all to attend.
This forum-style event will feature short presentations and questions and conversation with outgoing Athletics Director Dick Baddour and current Faculty Athletics Representative Prof. Lissa Broome. This is a wonderful chance to hear from Lissa and Dick about their work and find out about the ways faculty members play a role in athletics at Carolina.
