The General Faculty and Faculty Council met on September 16, 2016, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Kerr 2001. A summary of actions follows:
- The Faculty Council approved Resolution 2016-14 On the Importance of Shared University Governance, which recognizes concerns raised in a letter from the Faculty Assembly to President Spellings and Board of Governors Chair Bissett and requests “that time-honored principles and practices of faculty participation in the shared governance of the University of North Carolina be preserved.”
